Lavender Bath Salts

The sweet scent of lavender has been known for its relaxation properties for ages. It calms the nerves and eases tension, aiding in sleep and providing relief for anxiety, pain, and headaches. The flower is not only used for its scent, but is commonly favored for its anti-inflammatory benefits both inside of the body as well as on the skin.

Lavender essential oil and flower have been combined with pink Himalayan and epsom salts, both of which are renowned for their effects on the body. Salts have long been used in baths due to the body’s ability to absorb their minerals through the skin. Magnesium in particular is key in easing tension and cramping in the muscles, also aiding in sleep. These minerals are shown to stimulate circulation and promote cell regeneration and skin elasticity, reducing scarring and fine lines. Oat straw powder is added for its benefits on dry, itchy, irritated skin, while kaolin and baking soda are used to draw out impurities and exfoliate.

All bath salts come with a reusable muslin drawstring bag, to keep any loose plant matter contained. Simply pour the desired amount into the bag, tie it closed, and either tie the bag under the running faucet or toss it into the bath.
