Rosemary Pine Body Scrub

Sugar is used in scrubs for its gentle, less abrasive exfoliating properties. It helps to remove dead skin, leaving the body soft and helping to prevent blemishes, ingrown hairs, and flaky skin. The addition of coconut oil not only helps this scrub to glide along the body, but provides essential fatty acids which moisturize the skin, and help to remove impurities through the antimicrobial benefits. Castor oil contains fatty acids and vitamin e, which protect the skin and improve texture and tone, and its rich texture is deeply moisturizing. It is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory, and is thought to promote quickened healing. Bentonite Clay is rich in minerals, which can assist the skin in rebuilding, drawing out impurities, and calming inflammation. Oat is a key anti-inflammatory ingredient in many skin products, reducing redness and irritation from conditions like eczema and dermatitis. It contains saponins which help to cleanse, pulling out impurities and leaving the the skin glowing. It is also shown to stimulate collagen production, which lessens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.These combined ingredients work together to help calm irritated skin, support the natural healing process, and leave the body glowing and clear.

The scent of rosemary is uplifting and stimulating to the mind, while the earthiness of pine is grounding and balancing. This combination awakens the senses, clearing the mind and heart. 

To use: Stir before use if necessary, as oils may separate. Apply in the shower, on clean skin. Start with a quarter sized amount and rub between your palms, then massage along the skin. Scrub in circular motions, moving upward and inward toward the heart. Add more as needed. Rinse off until all grittiness from the sugar is gone, and softly pat dry to keep the oils on the skin.

Tip: Before using, slowly inhale the scent deeply through the nose, hold for 5 seconds, and let it out with a deep sigh for 5 seconds through the mouth. Repeat a few times, and feel the calming effects.
